CELPiE Project Fund
Supporting innovation and collaboration in education at St Andrews
Scope of the grants
CELPiE is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity designed to support creative, collaborative, and research-driven educational projects at the University of St Andrews.
Staff and students can apply for up to £400 to support:
- The organisation of events or workshops that enhance learning and teaching practice within St Andrews.
- Educational research projects that deliver clear, practical benefits to learning or teaching development within the university, improving teaching approaches, informing curriculum design, or strengthening learning communities.
Projects should demonstrate a clear benefit to the wider academic community—for example, by fostering dialogue across Schools, sharing innovative practice, or developing new approaches to pedagogy. Funding may be used to cover the cost of materials and resources, honoraria for guest speakers, costs associated with recruiting research participants, or towards the time of a project or event assistant.
Applications are particularly welcomed from cross-disciplinary/departmental groups, or on projects related to the current CPD Theme, which for this academic year is AI in Education.
Successful applicants will also be asked to contribute a resource or reflection to the CELPiE Inspiration Centre, helping to build a shared collection of ideas, tools, and exemplars that can inspire others across the University.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are submitted until such time as the fund has been fully allocated.
The University may restrict the number of awards allocated, irrespective of available funds, based on the quality of the submitted applications.
